 10.5 TIRE
 
General Class Rules - 10.5 Tire (Heads Up)
1.
Stock style and general shape car bodies.
2.
Must have mufflers.
3.
Must have working taillights.
4.
Must have diaper.
5.
Slicks limited to 33 x 10.5 designation on tire.
6.
18.5 DOT tire
7.
Firewall must be in stock location.
8.
Engine (single power adder only)
9.
Must retain stock wheelbase - within 2" of OEM.
10.
All IHRA Safety Rules Apply.
11.
Ladder - Outlaw ladder will be run. 16-1, 15-2, etc. If not full field, blanks will be loaded for unfilled spots.
12.
1st round of eliminations - Opponent broke competitor must notify official timer (in tower) or race director no later than one hour prior to call for first round of eliminations. If this is done, an alternate will be placed in the last qualifying position, ladder will be reprinted. If closer than one hour prior to call for first round, opponent broke bye will be run.
13.
Must take tree and be qualified car to receive first round money.
14.
BMP has final say on all rules.

Max bore spacing on all forced induction applications is 5”.

Max cubic inch on all forced induction combos is 700 cid.

Any forced induction over 5" bore spacing add 100 lbs.

Max turbo size 108mm on all twin applications.

Screw superchargers (max engine size 540 cid):

  Supercharger restraint system meeting SFI 14.1 mandatory on roots-type supercharger.

Screw-type supercharger must meet SFI Spec 34.1 and be re-inspected by the manufacturer every three years.

For screw-type superchargers, manifold burst panel meeting SFI Spec 23.1 (in addition to panel in supercharger) Plus restraint system meeting SFI Spec 14.21 mandatory.

Supercharger drive must be belt, NHRA-accepted chain
driver or NHRA-accepted gear drive. Supercharger restraint straps must be covered with a fire-resistant material.

The supercharger restraint straps and fuel lines must be installed such that when the restraint straps are fully
extended, no load is placed on any of the fuel lines, See General Regulations 1.10
